Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Martinsburg, WV is seeking a diligent Maintenance Associate for 4th shift. You will perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC systems, and maintaining machinery to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing root causes, performing preventive maintenance, operating and maintaining motorized equipment, and coordinating with vendors for repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of maintenance experience, with at least one year in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance scheduling and implementation.
• Knowledge of basic carpentry and tooling; strong mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to perform walking, standing, heavy lifting, bending and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose root cause of problems in plant machinery and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components and PLCs.
• Perform routine, predictive and preventive maintenance on all machinery.
• Maintain and repair motorized equipment and operate manlifts and forklifts.
• Transport heavy parts, inspect trucks, and identify needed replacement parts.
• Complete paperwork to order parts and track inventory; coordinate with MRO and purchasing.
• Maintain grinders and blowers; fabricate metal parts and perform welding as needed.
• Keep work logs and conduct daily forklift safety checks; participate in plant safety programs.
• Train other maintenance associates on equipment and procedures; respond to on-call emergencies.
