Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate elementary grade-level endorsement.
• Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum, child development, and evidence-based instructional practices.
• Ability to develop engaging lessons that promote academic achievement and social-emotional development.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning, instruction, and assessment.
• Proficiency in integrating instructional technology into the classroom.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and school leadership to support student success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that meet academic, social, and developmental needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student learning through diverse methods (assignments, projects, quizzes, tests, observations).
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and use data to inform decisions.
• Foster foundational literacy, math, science, and social studies skills.
• Maintain effective classroom management for a safe learning environment.
