Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with elementary endorsement.
• Ability to develop engaging lessons that promote academic achievement and social-emotional development.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in integrating instructional technology into the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that meet the academic, social, and developmental needs of students.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that promotes student engagement and respect.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and individual student needs.
• Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including assignments, projects, quizzes, tests, observations, and participation.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate academic records, and use assessment data to inform instructional decisions.
• Foster foundational literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies skills through effective instructional practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, analyze student data, and support school improvement initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavioral concerns.
• Participate in IEP, Section 504, and other student support meetings as required.
• Integrate instructional technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, professional development, and other duties.
