Job summary

Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is seeking a passionate 4th grade Math and Science Teacher for the 26-27 school year at our Glendale, AZ location. This role requires delivering rigorous instruction, building literacy and numeracy foundations, and using data to guide interventions.

Collaborate with teams and engage families to support student growth. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Education or related field and a valid Arizona teaching certification, with at least three years

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required.
• Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area or eligibility.
• Minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience required.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
• Pass required background checks and obtain IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and a data-driven instructional mindset.
• Exhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
• Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional planning and interventions.
• Build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.
• Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies.
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
• Participate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to continuously improve teaching practices.
• Contribute to school-wide systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
• Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home-school partnerships.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field

Arizona teaching certification (valid)

Three years K–12 teaching experience
