Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a 4th grade ELA/Social Studies Teacher for IDEA Southeast Academy in Tarrant County, Texas. This role involves delivering rigorous instruction aligned to state standards, planning weekly lessons, and tracking student progress while engaging families and the school community.

The position offers a starting salary of $63,500 with potential stipends up to $4,000 based on certifications and campus leadership, plus additional performance-based compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
• K-12 classroom experience preferred
• Reading Academies certification for K-3 or willingness to obtain TX training within required timelines (bilingual and ESL certification preferred)

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance
• Assess student progress and update gradebook weekly
• Communicate student progress with families weekly
• Maintain behavior management aligned with campus initiatives
• Foster a positive school culture and collaborative environment
• Host tutoring sessions as needed
• Participate in weekly meetings and after-school duties
• Engage in ongoing professional development
