Job summary

Flexport is seeking a 4PL Area Manager to represent Flexport at external 3PL/4PL sites, ensuring SLA compliance, forecast coordination, and invoicing oversight. You will lead teams at partner facilities, build the 4PL operating model, and partner with stakeholders to optimize network performance.

The role requires travel to partner sites, including international locations, and offers a dynamic, scalable environment where you define the role as the program grows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a team of 5 or more in a fulfillment, warehouse, or 3PL environment.
• Passport and willingness to travel internationally.
• Ability to hold external partners accountable without direct authority.
• Strong communication skills and data analysis.
• Experience building structure and process in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel.

Responsibilities

• Be Flexport's primary POC for assigned 3PL/4PL partners; travel to sites to inspect operations and hold partners accountable to SLAs.
• Coach and support teams of 30–100 at partner facilities; enforce SOPs and compliance; drive corrective action.
• Own performance reporting and escalation for operational issues and cross-functional troubleshooting.
• Receive SNOP forecasts and share them with partners; align labor plans to projected demand.
• Review and approve 3PL/4PL invoices; resolve discrepancies with partner teams.
• Document and define how Flexport works with 4PL partners and drive long-term improvements.
