Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Traffic Management and Cargo Handling specialist in Anchorage, AK. You will operate MHE, load/offload 463L pallets, containers, and trucks, prepare shipping documents, and ensure regulatory compliance with USAF requirements and the Amentum QMS.

You will coordinate with teams to move freight efficiently and safely. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic English, and experience with logistics documentation, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience supervising a diverse international workforce is desired.
• Must have organizational skills.
• Must be able speak, read, and write English at a beginner level.
• Familiarity with Supply, TMO and air cargo documentation is preferred.
• Must possess a valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain a host nation driver’s license.
• Will be required to operate material handling equipment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance.
• NOTE: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepares freight for shipment including packing, crating, weighing, marking, labeling and documenting cargo.
• Ensures hazardous materials are properly inspected, documented and certified.
• Prepares shipping documents and assigns Transportation Control Numbers (TCN).
• Maintains WRM and operational stock levels of all 463L assets.
• Loads/offloads pallets, containers and trucks promptly.
• Inventories and inspects freight for damage and reports discrepancies.
• Operates MHE, wide body loaders and cranes as required.
• Safely transports explosives from storage facilities to flight line explosive parking areas.
