Job summary

Amentum seeks a Cargo Handler/Traffic Management Specialist in Anchorage, AK to load and prepare freight for shipment, handle 463L pallets and containers, and operate MHE safely to move cargo.

You will document shipments, assign Transportation Control Numbers, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with USAF requirements, PWS, and Amentum QMS. Strong organization and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are essential. This role offers reliable shift-based work in a logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience supervising a diverse workforce is preferred.
• Prior logistics/shipping experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare freight for shipment, including packing, crating, weighing, labeling, and documenting cargo.
• Load and unload 463L pallets, containers, and trucks in a timely manner.
• Prepare shipping documents and assign Transportation Control Numbers (TCN).
• Maintain TCN logs and inventory for 463L assets.
• Operate Material Handling Equipment and cranes per procedures.
• Comply with all regulations, instructions, and QA/QMS requirements.
