Job summary

Michigan State University Extension in Sanilac County is seeking a Sanilac County 4-H Program Coordinator to lead and grow local 4-H programs, mentor volunteers, and engage youth in schools and community groups. You will recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, develop partnerships, and expand programs to reach underserved youth, with support from division leadership.

This is a one-year funded role with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of program development and management experience in 4-H or youth development.
• Experience supervising volunteers and building partnerships.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and train volunteers for local 4-H youth programs.
• Develop partnerships with schools and community groups to expand programs.
• Lead local 4-H groups, manage funds, and provide financial training.
• Deliver programs through in-school and after-school settings and clubs.
• Prepare annual reports and program plans with supervisors.
