Job summary

Michigan State University Extension in Sanilac County seeks a proactive 4-H Program Coordinator to lead local youth development efforts. You will recruit and train volunteers, organize 4-H clubs, after-school programs, and mentoring activities, and expand partnerships in schools and communities.

You will collaborate with district leadership to align with statewide youth initiatives, manage program plans, reports, and outreach, and help reach unreached youth and families through diverse delivery

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in program development and management in 4-H or youth development.
Proven strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Experience coordinating volunteers and working with schools and community groups.

Responsibilities

Train 4-H volunteers to engage youth and families in communities.
Develop partnerships with schools and community groups to expand programs.
Attend advisory meetings and lead volunteers and committees.
Provide leadership for volunteer management and program delivery.
Plan and organize youth development programs via schools, clubs, and after-school activities.
Communicate program progress and impact to supervisors and leadership.
