Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking an Associate 4-H Program Educator to support Portage County, promote 4-H clubs, and develop in-school and community programs. You will coordinate educational activities, manage correspondence, and connect with partners to enhance youth experiences.

Ideal candidates will bring practical youth program experience, strong people skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver equitable, engaging learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant youth programming experience or volunteer work.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build professional environments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and schedules while delivering quality work.
• Effective communication using various methods and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support across functions including correspondence and records.
• Track program evaluation and incorporate feedback for improvement.
• Implement initiatives and events for the target audience.
• Procure and maintain course materials and supplies.
• Teach culturally relevant educational programs to adults and youth.
• Help design marketing materials and promotions for programs.
