Job summary

Washington State University (WSU) Extension seeks a 4-H Extension Coordinator to provide leadership and oversight for the 4-H Youth Development Program in Mason County. You will manage volunteers, coordinate community outreach, and develop programming aligning with Extension policies under supervision from the State 4-H Associate Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in extension-related discipline with at least 2 years of related program experience or equivalent
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must have or obtain a valid driver’s license by hire and comply with driving standards
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Ability to work year-round in various outdoor weather conditions
• Competent with electronic communication methods and equipment for extension education and daily work activities

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the 4-H Youth Development Program in Mason County
• Manage volunteers, coordinate community outreach, and develop/implement programs under guidance
• Engage with the community by attending events across Mason County and nearby areas
• Transport equipment, supplies, and materials to support 4-H activities and programs
• Provide backup administrative support to the Office Manager as needed
