Job summary

The Extension Agent for Madison County will join Tennessee State University in the College of Agriculture, Extension Services. This 100% 4-H Youth Development role plans, implements, evaluates and reports county programs through clubs, workshops, camps and events, using diverse delivery methods.

The successful candidate will build public relations with educational officials, sponsors and community partners, and collaborate with UT/TSU Extension teams to meet county, state and federal needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Education, or related field.
• Knowledge of STEM and program planning/evaluation.
• Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate and report county 4-H educational programs.
• Deliver programs via clubs, workshops, camps and events.
• Recruit volunteers and maintain public relations with partners and sponsors.
