Job summary

The successful candidate will join Tennessee State University as part of the Madison County Extension team, focusing 4-H Youth Development. The role requires developing, implementing, evaluating, and reporting county education programs to youth and families.

Responsibilities include delivering programs via clubs, workshops, camps, and special events; recruiting volunteers; maintaining public relations with schools, agencies, and sponsors; and collaborating with UT/TSU Extension personnel to meet

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, Education, or related field.
• Knowledge and experience with STEM preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Extension program planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with teams.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and travel.
• Access to a personal vehicle and valid Tennessee driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, evaluate, and report county 4-H educational programs.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate programs, events, and activities through 4-H clubs, project groups, workshops, camps, conferences, and special interest classes.
• Volunteer recruitment, site and home visits, phone calls, workshops, newsletters, media, etc.
• Develop and maintain good public relations with educational officials, partners, sponsors and elected/appointed officials.
