Job summary

CVS Health 3rd Year Pharmacy Intern in Illinois will apply didactic pharmacy education to real-world practice under a licensed pharmacist. You’ll support the pharmacy team, help ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing, and participate in immunization-related activities where permitted.

The program emphasizes loss prevention, SOP adherence, empathy in patient care, and collaboration with store leadership to prepare you for a pharmacist role.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an ACPE‑accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining intern/technician licensure as required.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Demonstrates empathy and care in interactions with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Follow SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation.
• Provide customer service and counseling to patients where appropriate.
• Support immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics as trained.
