Job summary

CVS Health in Rockford, IL is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice and support the pharmacy team as you prepare for a Pharmacist role. Under a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap to gain hands-on experience across store operations and patient care while ensuring safe, accurate medication handling.

You will work within SOPs, collaborate with pharmacists and technicians, and contribute to immunizations and customer service

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy enrollment or status.
• Active enrollment as a pharmacy intern and/or technician per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow all SOPs to support Pharmacists and Technicians in safe prescription fulfillment.
• Assist with pharmacy workflow at various stations (production, pick-up, drive-thru).
• Provide counseling and answer medical questions under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Handle telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions when needed.
• Support inventory tasks and maintain accurate records as directed by leadership.
