Job summary

The High Companies are seeking qualified fitter/fabricators for High Steel Structures in Williamsport, PA. The role covers welding, fitting, layout, finishing, and grinding to fabricate structural steel units such as bridges and building products.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of D1.1 or D1.5 welding experience, with certification tests required. A high school diploma or GED is required and 3rd shift offers a 25% premium, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years in D1.1 or D1.5 welding, as stated in the ad.
• Ability to read prints, specification tables and use adjustable layout/measuring instruments.
• Must be able to pass the required welding certification test.

Responsibilities

• Perform fitting, layout, welding, finishing, grinding and related operations to assemble and fabricate structural steel units.
• Work from prints and specification tables with accurate layout.
• Maintain quality and safety and be available for overtime as needed.
