Job summary

The High Companies’ High Steel Structures division is seeking qualified fitter/fabricators with 1–3 years welding experience (D1.1 or D1.5). This role involves fitting, layout, welding, finishing, grinding, and assembling structural steel units including bridges.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED; welding experience with Stick, MIG, or SAW is preferred and ability to read prints is essential. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; welding/fabrication coursework preferred.
• Demonstrated welding experience with Stick, MIG, or SAW desired.
• Ability to read prints and work from specification tables with measured layouts.

Responsibilities

• Fit, layout, weld, finish, grind and assemble structural steel units.
• Operate from prints and specification tables to fabricate bridges and other products.
• Be flexible for overtime as business demands.
