Job summary

The Colonial Group is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee nightly operations in a Champaign, IL facility. You will assign tasks, monitor floor activity, and support supervisors while performing required material handling work with forklift and electric pallet jack as needed.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of warehouse experience, strong leadership and training abilities, and a solid focus on safety and efficiency. This role is on-site with a 3rd shift schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years warehouse or related experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures.
• Ability to operate forklift equipment including electric pallet jack.
• Strong math, reading, and basic problem solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assign daily tasks to warehouse staff to ensure workflow coverage.
• Monitor operations on the warehouse floor and provide real-time support.
• Assist with scheduling and planning of activities as directed.
• Perform production work using forklift or electric pallet jack as needed.
• Coach and train staff; certify skill sets with Warehouse Trainer.
• Conduct audits to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
