Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Value Stream Team Leader to oversee one or more plant value streams and to lead daily operations with a focus on continuous improvement and safety. This role drives quality, productivity, and premier customer service while reducing costs and lead times through Lean practices.

You will collaborate with the Value Stream Manager to map future state value streams, maintain PDCA cycles, and develop a qualified workforce across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management and inventory control.
• Demonstrated teamwork and teambuilding skills; ability to promote safety, new ideas and positive change.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with LEAN teams or leading LEAN teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant value stream(s) in daily operations and continuous improvements, including supply chain, production control, and manufacturing priorities.
• Coordinate between shifts to create continuous product flow, use pull systems and level workloads.
• Ensure standardized work and processes are followed; implement needed adjustments and maintain safety/5S compliance.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere; conduct regular meetings and assign tasks across departments.
• Provide cross-training and backups to sustain smooth operation; empower teams to address issues for quality.
