Job summary

Veolia is hiring a Third Shift Thermal Plant Operator to run the thermal soil remediation process safely and efficiently. You will manage facility performance using specialized software with automated and manual controls, and perform pre-shift inspections, documenting conditions and repairs as needed.

This shift requires attention to detail, adherence to safety policies, and coordination with the maintenance team. Strong English communication and 2+ years of relevant experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school encouraged.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or combustion systems.
• Experience operating and monitoring computerized plant processing equipment.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Operate thermal plant controls and equipment in a safe and efficient manner compliant to all permits.
• Continuously monitor facility operations and adjust to achieve optimal performance.
• Perform and document daily operations, safety and equipment condition checks; communicate repairs to maintenance staff.
• Assist maintenance staff with repairs as needed.
• Work independently and follow safety policies; maintain a clean work environment.
