Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate (3rd shift) in Lansing, MI. The role focuses on material availability, inventory control, and coordinating with suppliers to meet production needs within the GM LLP account.

Responsibilities include ensuring on-time delivery, managing inventory coverage, and monitoring buffers while maintaining accurate MGO data and optimal costs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ year administrative experience preferred.
• 1+ year in relevant experience strongly recommended.
• Knowledge of MGO (GM's MRP system) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of transportation management is beneficial.
• Knowledge of material flow as it relates to manufacturing is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Follow up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery to support production requirements.
• Serve as main point of contact for suppliers and coordinate ship schedules and containment plans.
• Track critical parts and develop containment plans to avoid production interruptions.
• Coordinate alternative material sources and spot buys as needed (SPO and other GM plants).
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO and post adjustments after investigation.
• Review part buffers to ensure coverage of build requirements and manage code exceptions.
