Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking an experienced SRE to join the Federal team providing 24x7 production support for the Government Community Cloud infrastructure.

As part of the team you will drive reliability, performance, and operability across the full stack, from hardware to services, and push automation to reduce incidents and MTTR.

You will collaborate across time zones while supporting US public sector customers and enjoy shifts that include a 10-hour 4-day work week with no on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6+ years with a Master's; or a PhD with 3+ years
• Deep knowledge of Linux systems
• 2+ years of DevOps automation, CI/CD, and agile methodologies
• 2+ years of Cloud technologies, preferably Azure
• 2+ years of coding in Python, JavaScript, and Ruby
• Postgres and MySQL database administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Expertise in Observability and Monitoring of applications, services, and networks at scale
• Networking skills, IP addressing and routing.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief and sustainable resolution to issues within our infrastructure.
• Drive reliability and performance of the infrastructure through improved system design.
• Drive monitoring and automation initiatives to reduce incidents and MTTR.
• Collaborate with partner teams to improve platform operability across the stack.
