Pennsylvania Steel Co. in Naugatuck, CT is seeking a 3rd shift Saw Operator to run automatic cold saw and band saw, read specifications, and ensure precise cutting. This entry-level role requires the ability to lift 75 lbs and perform basic math with micrometers/calipers.

Qualifications

• Ability to read micrometers and tape measures.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic cold saw and band saw.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Ability to work with quality inspection tools including micrometers and calipers and perform basic dimensional tolerances.
• Monitor machine operation for continued accuracy throughout cutting processes.
• Prioritize workload to meet customer requirements and company performance goals.
