Pennsylvania Steel in Naugatuck, CT is seeking a dependable 3rd shift Saw Operator to join a veteran-owned steel distributor. You will operate automatic cold saws and band saws, read specs, and ensure dimensional accuracy with micrometers and calipers.

The role requires physical work and attention to detail. Responsibilities include prioritizing workloads to meet customer requirements and company goals, while maintaining quality throughout cutting processes.

Qualifications

• Read micrometers and tape measures to verify dimensions.
• Forklift experience for material handling or moving steel.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
• Familiar with basic computer systems.

• Operating automatic cold saw and band saw
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
