The role requires operating sandblasting equipment, removing rust and contaminants, and adhering to strict safety and PPE standards. The position offers a swing shift with a 4-day work week and the potential for growth within a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sandblasting experience in manufacturing or related settings.
• Experience operating sandblasting equipment including pressure pots and hoses.
• Ability to read blueprints and work independently while maintaining quality.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and meet production schedules.
• Strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare metal parts and welded assemblies for painting and coating.
• Remove rust, mill scale, surface contaminants, and imperfections to support coating adhesion.
• Load, position, and secure materials to ensure efficient blasting operations.
• Monitor air pressure, abrasive flow, and blasting equipment to maintain quality standards.
• Inspect finished surfaces for cleanliness and proper surface profile, and perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.

Our client, a manufacturing organization focused on quality and safety, is seeking a Sand Blaster to join their team. As a Sand Blaster, you will be part of the Paint Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to safety, a detail-oriented mindset, and the drive to deliver consistent surface preparation that helps coatings perform at their best.

Job Title: Sand Blaster

Pay Range: $20

Shift: Swing Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM

What's the Job?

• Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare metal parts and welded assemblies for painting and coating.
• Remove rust, mill scale, surface contaminants, and imperfections to support proper coating adhesion.

• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality workmanship, and consistent adherence to safety procedures and required PPE.
