Job summary

SAMTEC, Inc. in New Albany, Indiana, seeks a Repair Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to service and maintain all machines in the connector manufacturing and hand fill departments. Safety, quality, and cost are emphasized in every task.

The ideal candidate has experience with automated machine repair, tooling, and electrical troubleshooting, can work independently, and communicates effectively. A high school diploma is required; Tool & Die or Electrical Journeyman certification is a plus;

Qualifications

• Experience in technician or maintenance roles, preferably 5+ years.
• Experience with automated machines and mechanical/hydraulic presses.
• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machines in connector manufacturing and hand fill areas.
• Troubleshoot automated equipment, sensors, PLCs, and drives.
• Work on third shift (6pm–6am) either Sun–Tue or Wed–Fri.
