Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to assist the Supervisor in coordinating daily department tasks and ensuring effective communication to the team. The role focuses on maintaining safe, reliable operation of refrigeration systems and related equipment, with routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

The position requires willingness to work 3rd shift, overtime, and potentially weekends, with physical duties including lifting up to 40 lbs and climbing ladders.

Qualifications

• Experience with refrigeration systems and industrial maintenance is required or preferred.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in communicating daily department tasks to team.
• Provide maintenance support to ensure safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
• Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Safely apply knowledge to all assigned production equipment.
• Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
