Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic to operate and maintain refrigeration systems across the plant, ensuring safe operations and compliance with Tyson policies. Work could be in Processing or Slaughter areas.

Candidates must have refrigeration or maintenance experience, be able to pass a respiratory exam, and meet physical requirements including lifting and working in cold environments; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork is required.

Qualifications

• 3 months Refrigeration experience or 6 months Maintenance experience. (must be listed on application/resume)
• Reading and writing skills; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate across management levels
• Ability to work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment
• Proficiency in following Tyson policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain refrigeration systems per Tyson policies.
• Work in the plant in Processing or Slaughter areas as required.
• Read/write and complete on-the-job paperwork; communicate across all management levels.
• Adhere to safety standards and perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 70 pounds)
