Job summary

PPG in Springdale, PA is seeking a Quality Control Technician (3rd Shift) to test raw materials and finished goods, ensure accurate results, and communicate findings to production and customers. You will report to the Manager of Quality Services & Manufacturing Support.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 2 years of QC experience in a chemical/coatings environment, and basic math knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of Quality Control experience in chemical or coatings manufacturing preferred.
• Basic math and scientific principles knowledge; college chemistry desired.

Responsibilities

• Test samples for viscosity, pH and density and determine adjustments.
• Communicate adjustments and results to other departments.
• Reduce batch samples for spray-outs.
• Hand spray panels for defect analysis.
• Perform low-level analytical testing of intermediates.
• Check calibration of equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Follow all procedures and safety protocols.
