Job summary

PPG is seeking a Development Technician for Building Materials in Springdale, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will produce liquid paint samples and support application and testing processes under senior chemists' guidance. You will maintain lab standards, document work, and ensure adherence to EHS practices.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, lab experience, and proficiency in MS Excel and Word. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude are also essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; scientific background preferred.
• Two years of college-level math and science or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of lab experience required; 3–5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce liquid paint samples by following formulation recipes.
• Apply and prepare coated samples following application processes.
• Perform physical property testing like adhesion and stain resistance.
