Job summary

Sonoco in Opp, AL seeks a Production Worker on the 3rd shift, offering a wage of $19.18/hr. You will contribute to tube and core production, uphold safety, quality, and efficiency, and support multiple teams in a fast-paced setting.

Candidates should have at least 1 year in manufacturing or warehouse work, a proactive attitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift certification is preferred. Excellence in attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Must have a "get it done" attitude and urgency to resolve tasks.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Forklift certification preferred or previously held.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams.
• Troubleshoot problems on the line and adjust processes.
• Monitor quality and report issues of manufactured product.
• Learn to set up new jobs and train on other lines.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Perform duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
• Support Sonoco's quality and safety policies.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Downtime is cleaning and organizing time.
