Job summary

RTX Middletown, CT, is hiring a Production Machinist for the 3rd shift to set up and operate machine tools and produce precision turbine engine parts. This is an onsite role requiring adherence to procedures, safety standards and quality checks.

The position involves night hours (11:00 pm–7:00 am), using various tools and equipment, and progress through training and certifications as needed. RTX is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6 months machining experience.
• Ability to read operation sheets and drawings.
• Willingness to train for and obtain required licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate one machine tool and related equipment to produce precision turbine engine parts.
• Follow methods, use tooling and measuring devices to meet dimensional specs; replace dull tools as needed.
• Perform benching, finishing, drilling, riveting and assembly operations per procedures.
• Use measuring instruments and computer-based systems (e.g., OpCert) to record data.
