Job summary

Ventura Coastal seeks a Group Leader to assist the shift supervisor in driving production on the Visalia plant floor. You will ensure staff training, safety compliance, and HACCP adherence while reporting conditions and proposing corrective actions.

The role supports the production department's readiness and quality goals on a 2nd shift. Responsibilities include coaching staff, maintaining paperwork, promoting safety, and ensuring packaging and CIP practices align with customer specs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five years of citrus manufacturing experience.
• Two years of leadership experience.
• Forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a major plus.
• Experience with citrus manufacturing equipment.
• Flexible and changing priorities and schedules.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the production group on each shift under the supervisor.
• Ensure staff are trained, safe, and following food safety practices.
• Report nonstandard conditions with corrective actions.
• Train new employees on safe, quality operation of equipment.
• Promote safety and ensure PPE usage and cleanliness.
• Complete shift paperwork and maintain documentation.
