Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Production Shift Manager for the 3rd shift in Pembroke, NC. You will lead the shift, partner with first-level supervisors, and drive production effectiveness by standard work, KPI attainment, and continuous improvement with a focus on zero accidents, zero defects, and zero unplanned downtime.

You will develop people, ensure safety compliance, and translate plant goals into actionable plans while fostering a high-performing team across the value chain.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years leadership experience in a related industry with experience managing other professional positions.
• Proven experience in manufacturing leadership with process-oriented operations.
• High school diploma. Degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field will be an advantage.
• Lean Manufacturing training and/or Six Sigma certifications preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel and creating effective reports.
• Working understanding of Quality Management Systems.
• Working understanding of Occupational Health & Safety standards and best practices.
• Proven leadership with people management and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and develop first-level supervisors and team members to raise performance.
• Ensure safety programs and standards are followed and promote an engaged safety culture.
• Lead a diverse, high-performing shift to meet goals and build organizational capability.
• Translate plant goals into actions across all levels of the organization.
• Identify schedule risks and take action to mitigate impacts.
• Lead short-, mid-, and long-term improvements for safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Drive on-time delivery, productivity, project management, and process improvements.
• Ensure cross-training of the team and development of staff.
