Job summary

NSK is seeking a Shift Supervisor / Production Team Lead to work 3rd Shift and fill the Unit Coordinator C position at our hub plant in Franklin, IN. The role coordinates team efforts toward meeting safety, quality, production, and cost goals, and leads line activities with emphasis on lean manufacturing and 5S standardization.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 4–6 years of related experience; the preferred candidate has a Technical Diploma or associate degree and

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 4–6 years of related experience.
• Preferred: Technical Diploma or associate degree and 6–8 years of related experience.
• Experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the activities of team members on the production line.
• Enforce safety and quality standards.
• Communicate shift updates on safety, quality, production, staffing, and line conditions.
• Coordinate with other supervisors on inter-department operations.
• Discuss with management: quality concerns, production status, equipment issues, team member concerns, and areas for improvement.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet goals.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, and production schedules to determine requirements and outputs.
• Utilize 5S and Lean principles to improve SOPs.
