Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift to oversee liquid products operations and ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires 2 years of supervisory experience in a food-manufacturing setting, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a commitment to food safety and quality. Responsibilities include leading up to 50 hourly employees and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience in a food-manufacturing environment with lead or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of food safety concepts and techniques.
• Budgetary concepts and procedures.
• Engineering concepts and procedures.
• PC word processing/spreadsheet software.
• Quality concepts and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily activities of assigned staff, providing instructions and feedback to meet productivity and quality objectives.
• Identifies and resolves process and equipment problems to maintain productivity.
• Implements approaches to improve quality and productivity by developing new ideas and planning for equipment or process changes.
• Communicates with employees to promote smooth operations and ensure compliance with policies.
• Drive Daily Management Systems to deliver improved results each shift.
• Own incident elimination, CIL management, and defect handling processes.
• Ensure safety/food safety behaviors and conditions are resolved quickly.
• Own scorecard, gap analysis, and action planning for the line.
• Drive operational reviews and shift hand-offs.
• Remove barriers for line teams and marshal support as needed.
• Manage staffing and training as part of people management.
