Job summary

CompoSecure in Somerset, NJ is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support yield improvements, production troubleshooting, and successful NPI in a 24/7 high-volume operation. You will work on-site on the 3rd shift (11 PM–7 AM) to optimize processes and onboard new products.

You will collaborate across Quality, Maintenance, and Operations, develop SOPs and training materials, apply Lean and Six Sigma methods, monitor KPIs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum of 5 years in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably 24/7 operations.
Proven yield improvement, root cause analysis, and process troubleshooting experience.
Familiarity with NPI processes including process validation and production readiness.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time process support for production teams to minimize downtime and resolve issues.
Analyze and improve yields, identify root causes of scrap and variation using data-driven methods.
Lead or support NPI activities including process validation and ramp-up readiness.
Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to drive cost, efficiency, and throughput improvements.
Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and training materials.
Support Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve process control.
Monitor KPIs for yield, cycle time, downtime, and quality with reporting and action planning.
Participate in audits, customer visits, and internal reviews as a technical SME.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
