RTX, Pratt & Whitney Middletown, CT, is seeking a Production Machinist for the 3rd shift. The role involves setting up and operating machine tools to produce precision turbine engine parts. You will work from instructions and drawings, using NC or manual equipment, and ensure quality with various measuring tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 6 months of machining experience.
• May require training for licenses, operator permits and certifications within the area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a machine tool or process equipment to produce precision turbine engine parts.
• Use manual or NC machines (milling, boring, grinding, turning, broaching, shaping) to meet specs.
• Inspect with fixed or variable measuring instruments and record results.
• Perform bench, assembly, and surface finishing operations (debur, blend, trim, fit).
• Drill, rivet, bond, and assemble components for finished parts.
• Operate part-marking equipment and cleaning/finish processes.
