Job summary

The Recruiting Hive in Fairhope, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist to support a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. The role features a 3rd shift (8:30pm–7am, 10-hour shifts) Monday–Friday with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging specimens, maintaining records, and complying with OSHA/DEP regulations. Minimum qualifications: valid phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months venipuncture experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
Minimum of 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles.
Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperatures and transport protocols.
Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
