Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking an experienced phlebotomist for a contract role in Fairhope, AL. The shift is 8:30pm-7am on a 10-hour schedule, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends. The position lasts about 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy duties, specimen handling, labeling, data entry, and adherence to OSHA regulations. Benefits are available. 3+ years of phlebotomy experience required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously; demonstrate techniques with straight or butterfly needles.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct labeling and temperature control.
