Job summary

Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI) invites applications for a Full-time 3rd Shift Residential Re-Entry Specialist at Drapelick Center in Bloomfield, CT.

This role supports individuals re-entering the community after involvement with child welfare, juvenile justice, or criminal justice systems. You will perform security duties, intake processing, urinalysis, client movement, supervision of visits, and documentation across shifts, while following trauma-informed practices and mandatory FBOP training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4 years’ experience in social services or criminal justice (education may be substituted with relevant experience).
• Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
• Attend 40hrs of FBOP training prior to working FBOP clients.
• Strong attention to details.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Report to work 15 minutes before shift start.
• Conduct Urinalysis.
• Provide update on client issues and incidents.
• Verify items passed between shifts.
• Ensure security of facility keys.
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks.
• Conduct searches and document results (areas, pockets, perimeters).
• Confiscate contraband and complete incident reports.
• Complete hourly/daily counts and document results.
• Transport clients in company vehicle.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same-sex clients and complete paperwork.
• Supervise client visitations and sign-in/out visitors.
• Complete intake on new arrivals and facilitate orientation.
• Facilitate client movement within the facility.
• Monitor self-administration of medication.
