The Campbell's Company in Salem, Oregon is seeking a reliable Packer to ensure products are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently for consumer distribution.

You will perform packaging, labeling, quality inspections, palletizing, and sanitation tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborating with machine operators and teams to meet production goals. Shift: 3rd shift, pay: $18.60/hour. The company offers health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits from day one.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED and/or one year of manufacturing or production experience.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently lift and handle materials weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and schedule changes as business needs require.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare cartons and trays for product packing by folding, taping, sorting, labeling, and assembling packaging materials.
• Verify packaging materials are properly prepared and available for production.
• Pack products into cartons, trays, and displays according to packaging specifications.
• Ensure products are packaged with the correct labels, codes, and packaging configurations.
• Tape and seal cartons when required.
• Conduct visual inspections of finished products and packaging, including bag registration, code dates, pricing information, package seals, and case labeling.
• Remove products that do not meet quality standards and communicate concerns to operators or supervisors.
• Support food safety and quality standards throughout the packaging process.
• Stack cartons and trays on pallets using established pallet patterns and specifications.
• Move finished goods and packaging materials as needed and utilize pallet jacks when required.
• Assist with product rework activities according to plant procedures.
• Follow all plant safety, food safety, and hygiene procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Remove defective packaging materials, waste, and loose product from the work area.
• Keep aisles, workspaces, and exits clear of obstructions.
• Perform sanitation tasks including equipment washes, seasoner cleanings, and wipeouts.
• Follow proper lifting and material handling practices.
• Assist with production line startup activities and support changeovers as needed.
• Operate tray-making and stapling equipment when assigned.
• Report equipment or production issues to Machine Operators, Group Leaders, or Supervisors.
