Job summary

Campbell's in Hanover, PA is hiring a Packer for the 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday - Thursday). You will prepare packaging materials, inspect finished goods, and maintain safe, efficient production lines. The role emphasizes quality, food safety, and teamwork, with overtime as required.

Starting pay is $18.60/hour plus a $2.00 shift differential. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a fast-paced environment, and comply with GMPs and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment following safety and food safety requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product and packaging defects.
• Follow written instructions, packaging specifications, and production procedures.
• Perform repetitive work while maintaining quality standards.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull and perform manual labor throughout shift.
• Lifting up to 25 pounds continuously and up to 50 pounds occasionally; overtime as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to 5S initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cartons, trays, and displays for packaging by folding, taping, sorting, labeling, and staging materials.
• Verify tape guns and taping equipment have supplies and function properly.
• Perform visual inspections of finished packaging for codes, dates, pricing, seals, and integrity.
• Remove out-of-spec products and communicate packaging concerns to operators or supervisors.
• Pack products according to specifications and ensure correct labels are applied.
• Seal, tape, and prepare cartons for shipment; stack on pallets as per patterns.
• Move finished goods using pallet jacks and keep work areas clear of obstructions.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures during cleaning and sanitation activities.
