Job summary

Kissner Milling Company in New Castle, DE, is seeking a 3rd Shift Production Operator to run and maintain packaging lines, scales, baggers and heat sealers. You will perform pre-inspections, monitor seals and weights, and assist maintenance to keep operations efficient.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging operations preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong oral and written English communication.
• Knowledge of industrial environments required.
• Overtime availability.
• PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and hi-visibility apparel required.
• Work in environments with varying temperatures, humidity, noise, and dust.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.
• Able to pull, push, carry, and lift 50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-inspections of work area before production.
• Adhere to safety policies and report concerns.
• Communicate equipment or area deficiencies to supervisor.
• Ensure correct product is packaged in the right bag.
• Operate machinery, including forklifts, to meet production needs.
• Conduct weight checks every 30 minutes and record data.
• Label finished product pallets into inventory.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow QEHS policies.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures as needed.
• Assist technicians and supervisors as required.
