Job summary

Labcorp is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer for a third‑shift position in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of laboratory automation systems at customer sites, with about 25% travel.

The candidate will perform FAT/SAT, preventive maintenance, and qualification activities, while delivering training and ensuring service documentation is complete and accurate for operational continuity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 7+ years in automation/field service or an Associate/Bachelor’s with related experience.
• 3+ years field service experience on complex automation systems.
• 1+ years using diagnostic/testing equipment (DVMs, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to lift 50 lb+.

Responsibilities

• Execute FAT of laboratory automation equipment at customer facility.
• Install instruments and perform SAT.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Qualification and validation testing.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automation systems.
• Provide emergency service and customer support.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and related reports.
• Deliver operator training and document service activities.
