Job summary

Labcorp in Tampa, FL is seeking a Technologist to join our team. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological science and a Florida Medical Technologist license. You will perform routine and complex testing, operate lab instruments, and ensure quality results while adhering to SOPs.

Preferred candidates have 3+ months of lab testing experience and ASCP/AMT certification. The schedule is Monday–Friday, night shift, with potential overtime based on needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• FL MT license required.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to SOPs.
• Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
• Maintain safe work environment and PPE compliance.
