Job summary

Carris Reels, Inc. seeks a 3rd Shift Molder Maintenance Technician to support mold maintenance in our injection-molding operations. The role includes cleaning, basic repairs, inspections, and safe practices to keep molds production-ready.

The position offers on-site work with on-the-job training and potential to train on the 1st shift Band VI. A high school diploma and 2 years manufacturing experience are required; on-the-job training provided for mold maintenance and repair techniques.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years manufacturing experience preferred (mold maintenance/injection molding on-the-job training provided).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn mold maintenance/repair.
• RJG Fundamentals of Injection Molding or similar certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine mold maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, part replacement.
• Support basic mold repairs under supervision.
• Conduct basic mold inspections and report wear or damage.
• Troubleshoot minor mold issues such as sticking or alignment problems.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Record maintenance activities and inspection logs as directed.
• Track mold parts, tools, and supplies for maintenance tasks.
• Participate in on-the-job training to develop skills.
• Collaborate with production/engineering to meet goals.
