Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking an Injection Molding Technician to perform mold changeovers on injection molding presses, prepare machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment for startup, and support startup validation and production transitions.

The role requires 1+ year experience in manufacturing or related technical fields, basic mechanical aptitude, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a commitment to safety and accurate PM records. Training will be provided on 1st shift before 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in manufacturing, maintenance, injection molding, tooling, or related technical field.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, hoists, and measuring devices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
• Ability to become certified to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Compliance with all OSHA and company safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changeovers on injection molding presses per schedule.
• Prepare machines, molds and auxiliary equipment for startup.
• Assist with startup activities after mold installation.
• Verify molds, utilities, cooling connections and support equipment.
• Support startup validation and transition to production.
• Perform routine PM on molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Inspect hydraulic, pneumatic, cooling, drive and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and correct minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist maintenance with larger repairs and improvement projects.
• Read manuals, work instructions, blueprints and work orders.
