Job summary

IEM in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Third Shift Fabrication Lead to ensure continuous operation of laser machines and other fabrication equipment across two facilities. You’ll oversee setup, operation, and maintenance of lasers, shears, turret punches, and press brakes to meet production goals and resolve alarms quickly.

This role requires 1 year of supervision in a fabrication environment, HS diploma or GED, and possible forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in fabrication or manufacturing preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a fabrication/manufacturing environment with hands-on CNC equipment operation.
• At least 1 year of direct supervision of personnel is required.
• Must be or be able to become forklift certified.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laser machines and fabrication equipment to ensure continuous third-shift production.
• Oversee loading and unloading of materials in automation towers and ensure materials are staged for turnover to the next shift.
• Collaborate with first and second shift for smooth handovers and production continuity.
• Track machine performance, material usage, and production output; document incidents and alarms.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
